Located in the village of Mouleydier in the Perigord pourpre, bordering the wine growing area of Pecharmant, La Rebiere D’Or is a truly exceptional place.
A well-tended front garden greets you on your approach to this lovingly restored 17th century stone country house whilst the glorious south facade and remaining garden overlook the meandering River Dordogne.

The enclosed landscaped grounds include ancient and rare trees with Ginko , a three hundred year old Tulip Tree and a fabulous Sophora. A bamboo grove provides an exotic touch. Why not sit back and relax in the small pavillion near the Palm trees.
The house and its garden are serenely beautiful.

From your sumptuously decorated bedroom, admire the reflections from the river below; the old port of Mouleydier and the historic village beyond.

Inside, Madame Fournel has created a gloriously colourful and sumptuous interior with their exotic and eclectic collections of antique furniture, paintings and curios from around the world.   Passing from room to room, each one brings new delights. From the two magnificent bedrooms enjoy the views of the river’s verdant banks as it flows beneath your gaze. Take a pleasing walk along the river’s old tow path, or you may prefer to take in the views by traditional boat (Gabarres in Bergerac).

A delicious breakfast of traditional and home made bread and pastries can be served either in the garden or in the delightful ‘petit salon’ with its antique venetian mirrors.

You will be assured of a warm welcome to this truly unique Chambre D’Hôte.
